Our Mission

We help young people from low-income backgrounds to progress into tech professions.

In the UK, young people from low-income backgrounds are twice as likely to become unemployed. This is because they do not possess the same academic qualifications as their peers.

However, new technology has the potential to change this dramatically and there are now a number of well-paid vocational tech jobs that don’t require young people to possess particular grades at school or a university degree; instead, they require a set of life and vocational skills that are increasingly being taught informally with remarkable success.

Getting into Tech trains exceptional tech professionals with the skills to teach and inspire young people to access their industry. We aim for 95% of our young people to secure employment in tech after completing our programme.

Our Social Impact

By delivering an intensive six-month programme, we aim to achieve the following for our young people:

1. Raise their academic achievement, so they can catch up with their classmates.
